Miscreants rob Infosys techie of bike

BHUBANESWAR:A software engineer of Infosys was robbed of his bike and mobile phone by two miscreants outside the entrance to Infocity here on Wednesday evening.

Debashis Das, the complainant, was on his way for dinner when the armed miscreants intercepted and asked him to part with the bike and mobile phone or face the consequences.

Later, they rode away on the bike. The incident has spread a sense of panic among professionals working in Infocity.The State Government has already opened a full-blown police station on its campus but it is not fully functional yet. In the past, a spate of crimes on the software park premises had prompted the Government to open the police station but it is yet to serve its purpose.
